Editorial and sourcing policy

This policy applies to every page on this site. If a page does not meet it, please tell us.

Modular Living Australia publishes compiled information, not original research. This page sets out the standard every guide is held to.

Sourcing standard §

  1. Attribution. Every factual claim is footnoted to a published source and listed in the page's References section with a retrievable URL.
  2. Paraphrase. Source material is summarised in our own words rather than reproduced verbatim.
  3. Dating. Figures carry the date of their source. Prices, lender policies and planning rules change; readers are directed to verify current details.
  4. Ranges over points. Where sources disagree, we publish a range with each end attributed rather than a single headline number.
  5. Source labelling. Builder-published pricing is identified as commercial guidance; government, academic and market-research sources are identified as such.
  6. No paid placement. No company can pay for inclusion, ranking or favourable description. Any commercial arrangement introduced in future will be disclosed on the page where it applies.
  7. Imagery. Photographs are illustrative and do not depict any specific builder's product unless captioned as such.

What we do not publish §

Corrections process §

Send the page, the specific claim, what it should say and a source, to info@modularlivingaustralia.com.au. Corrections are applied to the page and the last-updated date is changed.

Use of automated tools §

Drafting and research assistance may involve automated tools. No figure is published without a named, retrievable source, and content is reviewed by a person before publication.
